Each year at its fall conference, NAECTE presents five awards. Publishers well known to the field of early childhood education sponsor three of the awards. They are: - The NAECTE/Allyn Bacon Outstanding Early Childhood Teacher Educator Award (click here for criteria and submission information)
- The NAECTE/Cengage Learning Outstanding Early Childhood Practitioner Award (click here for criteria and submission information)
- The NAECTE/Merrill-Prentice Hall Outstanding Dissertation Award (click here for criteria and submission information)
Past recipients of these awards In addition to these awards, NAECTE and Taylor Francis sponsor the NAECTE Outstanding JECTE Journal Article Award. The Editor of the journal in cooperation with members of the Editorial Board selects the winning article. This year’s award winners are: Jie-Qi Chen and Gillian McNamee for their article in Volume 27, number 2, entitled Strengthening Early Childhood Teacher Preparation: Integrating Assessment, Curriculum Development, and Instructional Practice in Student Teaching.
